It is a lovely day, a little cool but we are in winter. I had a marvelous time last weekend with family as we celebrated; I think everyone had a good time. I enjoyed seeing everyone and saw some people that I have not seen for years. Family and gatherings are always good for me, maybe not all people can say that but our family has been able to work thru any ‘rough spots’ that come along. I pray for families and the ‘ideal’ of family. Maybe there is no ideal family, but each of us can work toward living as children of God and make our world a better place.
Tomorrow, Jan 18, is my mom’s birthday. As most of you know, she has arrived at the century mark. What it is like to be one hundred years old I do not know except looking at my mom. She is ok physically, that is for being one hundred years old, after having survived cancer about 20 years ago. Her mind is pretty much ok too, except she repeats a lot. With my memory I can not complain too much. I am looking forward to our family and friends celebration this coming Saturday. May the Lord bless us all with the number of years that will give glory to God. May we live our lives in a way that shows that we want to give glory to God. Peace
