Hello Again

Hello again, it’s me coming to you from my office… Normally I would be on highway 47 on the way to St. Joseph in Arma after having finished confessions here in Girard. However, I am ‘stuck’ here in the office (I may go out for a bicycle ride to get some fresh air) sending you this message as my way of staying connected. You can pass on the information to those who probably are not checking on our parish website or our Facebook page.

I just wanted to let you know or repeat that I am celebrating Mass with Fr. Lee and we are celebrating for your intentions, those that you have asked for and those that are now in your hearts. I think I have included this in my other notes but wanted to be sure you all are aware. I am thinking of all of you as I celebrate and praying that you are staying well and taking care of your health. At present I am only going out when necessary so that I can stay healthy.

Just so you know, there are opportunities on the Internet to participate as we watch the Holy Mass. Bishop Kemme will be ‘live streaming’ Sunday Mass at 10am; the link is on Facebook Or https”//www.youtube.com/user/dioceseofwichita/live

Other opportunities are on TV channel 160 or 573 on CrawKan cable; Bishop Barron is on internet with a daily Mass also.

Station booklets are in the church at the front entrance, so feel free to come a walk with Christ as we carry our own crosses.

With this message I just wanted to let you all know that this is my way of celebrating with you at this time. I am thinking of ways to be in church for confessions so will let you know the particulars later.

Here is the prayer of Spiritual Communion again:

My Jesus,I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Nev-er permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

Printed Bulletins

Looks like we will be in this “can’t go to Mass” stage for a while. However we can go to church to pray and offer time with the Lord present in the tabernacle; we just have to keep our distance in order to stay healthy. Staying healthy spiritually also is a good thing, as you know. I am praying that we will quickly be able to “be community” again soon. In the meantime if you would like to read the bulletin, it will be on the parish website and in the normal place in church…for St Joseph it will be at the front door outside. Thank you for understanding and thank you for your prayers. Peace, Fr. Floyd
