Baptismal preparation is required for parents of a first child being baptized. Preparation consists of viewing a Formed video regarding this Sacrament. Baptisms are usually done following one of the weekend Masses or another time can be arranged. Please contact Father’s Office to make arrangements 620-724-8717. Specific information is needed as to the child’s full name, birth date and city of birth. The parents’ full names and who the godparents will be. At least one godparent must be a baptized Catholic. Parents requesting baptism for their child should be registered members of this parish; if not, permission is needed from their pastor in writing.

A Baptism certificate can be obtained from our records in the Parish Office in Girard. Please provide some basic information to help the secretary look up the record. We will gladly mail or e mail the information to you or the Parish that is requesting it. An official certificate contains the seal of the Parish on it.
