Parish Life

Altar Society

An organization that works with the Pastor in spiritual endeavors that unites women of the parish in dedication to the mission of the Church. Our main purpose is to provide for the needs of the altar. All women in St. Michael’s parish 18 years of age and older are automatically members of St. Michael’s Altar Society. Dues are $5.00 annually and are due in September of each year. All meetings are held in the Parish Hall. Meetings are held August through November, March and April on the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:00PM. Contact Joan Davied 620-238-0850.

Daughters of Isabella

Daughters of Isabella (D of I) is a charitable Catholic women’s organization founded in 1897 in New Haven, Connecticut as an auxiliary to the Rev. John Russell Council of the Knights of Columbus for the purpose of uniting all Catholic women in a sisterhood to practice and grow to achieve its motto “Unity, Friendship and Charity”. It is open to all Catholic women 16 years of age and up. Meetings are held monthly except in January and July on the 2nd Tuesday of the month – 7:30PM, at St. Francis Hall in St. Paul. Knights of Columbus

A fraternal service organization of Catholic men, 18 years of age or older, whose precepts involve charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Activities are in the areas of youth, community, church, council, and family. Monthly meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday, 7PM at the Parish Hall. Contact Grand Knight, Steven Davied.

Catholic Youth Ministry (CYM)

CYM is a collection of formation, prayer, service and socialization activities for the Catholic teens of St. Michael Parish. Contact Amanda Blythe 620-230-9609.

A Meal in His Name

Volunteers provide a meal and fellowship to the community, each Thursday afternoon at St. Michael’s Parish Kitchen from 4:30-5:15PM. All are welcome to the free meal which is carry-out only. Cooking starts a couple hours beforehand. Contact Jeanie Herod 620-238-0864.

St. Charlotte's Craft Group

The craft group meets every Wednesday from 8:30AM-1:45PM at St. Michael Hall. Service projects that we have worked on include hats for newborns, receiving blankets and burp cloths, blankets for the Kidney Dialysis Center, scarves for Special Olympics, and teaching aids for children with special needs. Please join us and bring your talent, or just come and share in fellowship! New projects are needed and ongoing! Donated yarn and material may be needed. Call Barb Mikrut 620-249-9505.
